GS05 - Plan-led Philosophy and Fundamentals

“The senior leadership training and development support provided by EngPro Solutions has provided our managers and junior leaders with new skills and techniques to manage organisational performance. They are more commercially aware, confident to address poor behaviours and are overall better leaders. Additionally, Howard provided us with in depth analysis and feedback on team status and development – highly useful.”

Darren Willshire, Commercial Director, West

Overview

Presented by experienced leaders; moving your business to being more plan-led is not simply a process change; it is a philosophical shift in the way you undertake and manage maintenance. It is about being data-driven and using all the data to intelligently apply maintenance that ensures your service objectives are met whilst controlling costs and improving quality.

This workshop introduces the concept and gives the leaders the tools they need to engage the business proactively in plan-led maintenance.

Key topics:

1.  The plan-led concept, the philosophy of ‘one-stop shop’ and ‘pit-lane’ maintenance

2. Service at the right cost - tools to manage service delivery, whilst controlling costs better

3. The planning cycle - the accountability shift in the business, the role planning takes, the extended horizons required.

4. Governance and executive reporting. Generating the right behaviours and metrics to empower the philosophy.

EngPro Approach

For this workshop we always place a senior experienced executive leader at the front of the room. Using a combination of some experiential learning techniques, fused with much Q&A stimulated from the delegate group the course evolves to meet your needs.

There is a presentation pack, but this is in the main subordinated by discussions and flip chart workings. Typically then end of this workshop sees an action list of activities to tackle. A very stimulating day as is shown below in some delegate comments.
