GS04 - Leading Change in an Engineering Business

“The senior leadership training and development support provided by EngPro Solutions has provided our managers and junior leaders with new skills and techniques to manage organisational performance. They are more commercially aware, confident to address poor behaviours and are overall better leaders. Additionally, Howard provided us with in depth analysis and feedback on team status and development – highly useful.”

Darren Willshire, Commercial Director, West

Overview

Presented by change leaders; This workshop has been established and designed specifically for the engineering manager.  Layering onto your sound leadership skills, this workshop adds the application of delivering change management, specifically tackling the complexities surrounding changes in engineering; be they process or product.

The bulk of change projects fail, this course sets you up to succeed, taking you from basic business case and stakeholder buy-in through to the introduction of project management tools.

Key topics:

1.  Why change - the success strategy

2. The business case

3. Planning for successful change

4. Stakeholder engagement and management

5. Developing and deploying the communications plan

6. Be in the ‘17%’ - make it stick!

EngPro Approach

This workshop has been designed around a case study of an imaginary organisation facing significant change. This study weaves its way through the whole course and allows the delegates to practice different skills and manage different characters both large and small.

The workshop concludes with a building of a recommendation to the (imaginary) Board of Directors about the change, together with an outline plan and presentation.

A challenging and full day - but heaps of fun.
