Team Leader – Level 3 course
The Modern Production Supervisor
CS08
Presented by Team Leaders, for team leaders
‘Do you want your Team Leaders to effectively use all the available systems, processes, and resources to achieve the required results?’
We spend plenty of energy training our Junior Leaders how to lead, but often we are not so great at teaching them how to manage the depot or department. We leave that to learning through example, which will always lead to degradation of capability over time. We used to teach this – in the good old British Rail days we did, in fact some people reading this article will recall the NEBSS courses that were run, a very well received course.
We have modernised that framework, removed the soft skills parts, shortened the course to five days, and have had its standard accredited by EAL.
KEY TOPICS
The legal responsibilities of a Production Supervisor
The business of rail, and the future with GBR
Quality of maintenance, the TL role
Planning and scheduling work effectively
Production efficiency
Simplified Technical English and report writing
Succession planning and competence management
Safety and risk assessments
“Thank you again for your time and effort during the week. Your energy, enthusiasm and knowledge of the subjects helped to invest into the course. I found the course very interesting and as a result can see myself using the knowledge and information learned long into my career.”
Calum Titley, Team Leader
