bio
Background
Sarah has had extensive experience as a senior manager in the public sector and brings an exciting dynamic to our team and the assignments we undertake. She is our Standards and Assurance Manager and has very strong analytical skills and strategic analysis expertise. With most of the EngPro team having had a commercial engineering upbringing, Sarah as a non-engineer with a public sector background adds a layer of depth to the governance and the procedures we must follow.
Expertise
Sarah’s background is deliberately non-engineering to add a sophistication to our business. She is an accomplished career professional who has held very senior posts in local and regional government and in the banking sector. She has full oversight of the quality assurance system and ensures that the business remains legal and socially compliant.
At work and play
Outside of work Sarah is an avid skier, enjoys active engagement in most sports, keeping a good fitness level. As a Welsh lady she naturally has a keen interest in rugby. She describes a perfect day as the Sunday morning stroll down the riverbank with her black Labrador, Millie, ending at a local pub for a swift pint, or two – then home to spend an hour in the garden.

Sometimes working in a background function, sometimes client-facing, she works in the strategic analysis role, positively challenging and enhancing our thinking. This approach gives our clients innovative insights and a broad bandwidth of potential problem resolutions. She also provides some business support services. Having run multi-million high-profile and politically sensitive projects she is exceptional at navigating through the challenges often faced in large matrix-styled organisations.
