Production Manager – Level 5 course

Optimising Maintenance Performance

GS03

Presented by experienced maintenance managers

This workshop follows on from CS03, and dives deeper into the mechanics of how we start to optimise maintenance.

It builds on the principles and disciplines that CS03 encouraged and goes on to harness the data more effectively. A highly interactive workshop, aimed at planners and engineering staff in the main.

KEY TOPICS

The history and principles of maintenance, how it evolved to where it is today and what tomorrow might hold

It’s all about the data capture – we look at many ways of capturing data and how that can be used practically

RCM, we introduce RCM and then go on to discuss the two main taxonomies MSG-3 and RCM3

Turning data into information – using worked examples, allowing delegates to explore how AMS and other data can be used.

Advanced technical innovations such as AVIS/MRX and RTM

We ran this workshop as part of a suite of training for our leaders in production. The aim was to improve the professionalism of the people to reach for new and innovative opportunities to improve performance and add more value. Howard and his team exceeded my expectations.”

Stuart Jones, Head of Operations (West)

Course
delivery

This course is best delivered onsite in the form of a workshop. EngPro always use experienced facilitators who have actually done the tasks they are talking about. This level of in-depth background knowledge gives great insight for the delegates.

If possible we like to use your company examples and paperwork, and we would discuss this during scoping phases.

COURSE FEEDBACK

“My first course of this type as I’ve only just stepped up to team leader, interesting to see how manning and shift times are planned out in simple to follow charts. Hard to implement some of the ideas at Laira as we are a 3rd party contractor on a GWR depot.”

Team Leader, Laira Depot, Hitachi

“Brilliant course and extremely valuable. I can’t wait to apply what I’ve learnt when I get back on shift.”

SDM, Stoke Gifford

“Recommend course is rolled out to all engineering staff so that they understand.”

Senior Production Manager, Hitachi Rail
